Roland Reynolds

Roland Reynolds is a Senior Managing Director of Industry Ventures, a San Francisco-based venture capital investment firm. He was previously the founder of Little Hawk Capital Management which merged with Industry Ventures in 2009. Little Hawk Capital Management was named in honor of Little Hawk Farm in Goochland, VA, where Roland has vivid memories of treasured time with his grandfather, Richard S. Reynolds, Jr. and a feisty little pony, Gidgit, from whom he learned the important life lesson: hold onto the reins and look where you are going! Roland is a son of the late J. Sargeant Reynolds and Mary Ballou Handy, and he is the youngest of Virginia Reynolds’ seven grandchildren.

Roland has been a Director of the Virginia Sargent Reynolds Foundation since 1997 and fondly recalls board meetings held in Virginia Reynolds’ library in her elegant apartment in the Tuckahoe, in Richmond, VA, where she lived from 1986 until her death in 2014.  He has served as a Trustee of College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, ME; National Cathedral School in Washington, DC; the Groton School in Groton, Massachusetts, from which he graduated in 1989; and on the Foundation Board of J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College.  He graduated from Princeton University with high honors and received his MBA from Harvard Business School.

Roland lives in Alexandria, VA with his wife and two children.
