Virginia Reynolds Parker


Virginia Reynolds Parker, CFA founded Parker Global Strategies (PGS) in 1995 and currently serves as CEO. PGS was one of the first women-owned and led firms in alternative investments. She raised over US$3 billion from institutional investors globally. She has conducted business in Asia, Europe, the UK, Canada, Australia, and South Africa. She has extensive international business experience, strong knowledge of global investment strategies, enterprise risk management, capital markets, ESG, and the environment.

Ms. Parker is the daughter of the late Lt. Governor J. Sargeant Reynolds and the granddaughter of the late Virginia Sargeant Reynolds. Ms. Parker has proudly served as a Director of the Virginia Sargeant Reynolds Foundation since 2021.

Since 2004, Virginia has served on the Boards of several non-profits in the areas of the environment, education, conservancy, advocacy, and art. She currently serves as Co-President of WomenExecs On Boards, a non-profit for which she served as Treasurer since its founding in 2018 until 2022. She serves on the Board of Governors for St. Catherine’s School where she previously served on the Foundation Board. She has served as Chair, Vice Chair, Member and currently Member Emeritus for the Board of Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment. She has served as a Trustee of New York Landmarks Conservancy since 2015.

Ms. Parker graduated from Duke University with AB degrees in Economics and Political Science. She graduated from Harvard Business School’s OPM program in 2002 and its Women Directors on Boards course in 2017.

Ms. Parker moved back to Richmond in 2020 after living in Greenwich, CT for 38 years. She is married to Michael R. Parker and has two children, Elizabeth Lawrence Parker who lives in Los Angeles, CA and Michael R. Parker, Jr who lives in Greenwich, CT.
